The poetry is flowing this week! We have beautiful poems by Maureen Doallas and Ken Hada. Check out their other projects on the People page.

Music also flows at Red Lion Square, and in this week's after party we talk about it with Alex Copeland, the guitar god who does our musical interludes. He reminds us that in music as in poetry, simple can be deceptively difficult.

Remember to tell us what you think in the comments here or on Facebook. We love to hear from you!

This week's episode includes poems by Jules Archer and Kim Hutchinson. Kim's poem "Flashback" was first published in AmsterdamScriptum.

In the after party, we take a look backstage at the unique challenges of recording a poem in a group. Loreen Niewenhuis was gracious enough to let us share outtakes of Amy, Alex and John recording her poem "Woman, Water Tower, Man." The readers would like it known that it's themselves they're laughing at, not Loreen's lovely poem.

If you're a poet, why haven't you submitted yet?

The poetry is flowing at Red Lion Square this week! We have poems by Karen Greenbaum-Maya and Desmond Kon, very accomplished poets who are also a psychologist and a potter. In the after party, Amy introduces editorial assistant Mistie Watkins, and the Watkins sisters talk about what makes a poem a poem.

We're taking a break this week, or rather, I am. We'll be back next week with really great poems and a fascinating after party and all the other sparkly, wonderful things you expect from such sparkly, wonderful people, including our new editorial assistant, Mistie Watkins.

In the meantime, here is a brand new link to some of my poems at Dead Mule School of Southern Literature and a link to some of Jae's poems at Perihelion. And here's something just because I like it.

See you next week!
